Why contribute to the Master Gardener Foundation?

The Foundation supports WSU Extension Master Gardener Programming and activities, with shared values such as:

  • Environmental priorities including clean water and water conservation, climate change resilience, pollinator support, plant biodiversity and soil health.
  • Social priorities including increased access to plants, green spaces, and public landscapes to benefit the health and well-being of all members of our community.
  • The Foundation owns, supports and maintains a free public garden, which is used to demonstrate research based horticultural principles and practices, the growing of local food, and serves as a location for free adult education classes.
  • The Foundation receives no city, county or other government funding. The Foundation provides a portion of WSU Extension Master Gardener operating expenses and is solely responsible for the Woodcock Garden operating expenses.
  • Your contribution is tax deductible! The Master Gardener Foundation of Clallam County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization recognized by the IRS, and all contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

In 2019, Master Gardeners donated 10,817 volunteer hours in Clallam County. If those hours were valued at $21.96 per hour, the average rate for educational trainers in Washington, that would be $237,541 donated to the people of Clallam County.

We Sincerely Thank YOU, it is much appreciated and will be well used
