Clallam County Master Gardener
2024 Spring Plant Sale
Plants for Every Passion!
It’s time to feed your need for everything green and growing! Get your garden off to a great start this year with perennials, veggies and herb starts, native plants and more at the Master Gardener Foundation of Clallam County Spring Plant Sale, Saturday, May 4th from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. for our famous Half-price Sale (closed briefly 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m. to prep for the Half-price Sale) at the lovely Woodcock Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road in Sequim.
With so much to choose from, what will you grow this year? Maybe veggies for your salad bowl—purchase tomato, lettuce, pepper and cucumber starts, then add some extra flavor to your dish with a purchase of fresh herb starts like oregano, thyme, sage and rosemary. Perhaps you’ll buy a Grand fir or Western red cedar sapling and plant it with your children or grandkids then watch them all grow up together year after year. Maybe establish a four-season garden with shrubs that have different bloom-times and colors for each season like blue elderberry, mock orange and red osier dogwood? Or maybe become a “bee hugger” and purchase pollinator and bird-friendly varieties to plant like asters, daisies, thimbleberry and red elderberry. Don’t forget to stop by our General Store for gardening gifts and gently used tools and supplies. Petals & Pathways Garden Tour tickets will also be on sale for $20.
Questions about your plant purchase? Ask away—plants are our thing! Clallam County Master Gardener volunteers will be on hand to give free advice and field questions about your garden greenery.
All proceeds from the sale will help to maintain the 2.4-acre Woodcock Demonstration Garden and the 5th Street Community Garden demonstration in Port Angeles. Funds from the plant sale will also support the numerous Master Gardener community services such as the Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) in our local schools, as well as Green Thumb Education Series and Digging Deeper presentations.
Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. Parking is available both in the west entrance lot and adjacent to Buttercup Lane.
